Greetings from BAAS!
Hope this letter will find you in good health. We are requesting you to join the 12th Convention of the South Asia Federation of AOTS Alumni Societies (SAFAAS), which will be held in Colombo Sri Lanka on 27 - 28 October 2017, organized by JASTECA. It could be a good platform to exchange our views and to share the opportunities among our Alumni Societies in this region. Let's strengthen the more positive image of our society by participating in the convention. Please find the summary of the SAFAAS convention below. Summary of 12th SAFAAS Convention
Program: 12th SAFAAS (South Asian Federation of AOTS Alumni Societies) convention.
Venue: Hotel Galadari (5 Star) 64 Lotus Rd, Colombo 00100 Sri Lanka; www.galadarihotel.lk
Date: 27-28 September 2017
Theme: Creating Inspirational Business Leaders Under The Stewardship Of AOTS.
1) Number of Participants from BAAS: Unlimited
2) Application Deadline for BAAS: 25 August, 2017
3) Participation Fee:
For Participants of SAFAAS Convention
a) Participation Fee will be USD 130.00 per person (Representative/Delegate/ Observer/Accompanying Person)
b) Concessionary Registration Fee for the spouse accompanied by the Representative, Delegate or Observer will be USD 100.00
c) Registration Fee applicable for the Private Observers (Non AS Members) and their spouses will be USD 225.00 per head. It is imperative for non AS members who come as Private Observers to register and pay the registration fee to make use of special concessionary hotel rate offered by Galadari Hotel, offered exclusively to the SAFAAS /YLW participants. The above registration fees will include Convention Kit, Banquets on 27th & 28th October 2017, Lunch and Refreshments on 28th October 2017, Airport transfers both ways.
Cost of accommodation and all other expenses are to be borne by the Participants.
For Youth Leadership Workshop Participants
For WNF Category: Subsidized Fee:
a. The participation Fee will be USD 130.00 per participant for the first 20 registrations of foreign applicants, on a first-come-first-served basis with weightage to equitable distribution of WNF Funds, to support all alumni societies wherever practical (based on receipt of duly completed applications).
b. As per WNF regulations, Participants who are subsidized are required to certify that they have received the subsidy amount of US$ 120 in cash from the Organizers.
For Others: Non-WNF Subsidized Fee
a. Participation Fee will be USD 260.00 per participant
The participation fee for both categories includes Workshop Materials, SAFAAS Convention Kit, Banquets on 27th & 28th October 2017, Accommodation for three (03) nights [26th, 27th & 28th October 2017] Lunch and Refreshments on 27th & 28th October 2017, Airport pickup & drop and program related local transport.
All other expenses are to be borne by the participant.
4) Application Procedure: Both hard and soft copy of Application to be sent to BAAS office 25 August, 2017. To confirm the participation, applicants are requested to pay the registration fees to BAAS office within the deadline; otherwise their applications will be rejected.
5) Travel Cost: By own cost.
Room Rates:
Single Occupancy - including Breakfast: USD 100.00 per day
Double/Twin Occupancy - including Breakfast: USD 110.00 per day
